CLINICAL ATTACHMENTS

Value what you do,
and add value by what you do

As a registered nurse, it is not just about practicing and being assessed in school based on the skill sets we have. It is also important to head out to the real world and interact with patients first hand to gain exposure. I've experienced many specialities, from general medicine to paediatrics, mental health sector, etc.
Caring for these patients of all walks of life comprises of not just talking to them to ensure there's a personal touch between me and the individual but also giving them the best care to nurse their conditions to the best I can. Some examples of such is performing dressing on patients and even administering medications.

These skills I have mentioned above is important to equip myself with how to do it correctly and accurately as it shows I am dedicated to do my work to the best I can. Through the respective clinical attachments as a student, I have picked up from my mistakes so that I don't make the same mistakes in my current workplace.
I've been recognised by my patient's next-of-kins that I'm really a patient individual as caring for the sick must not be an easy task at all but I'm still willing to put a smile on my face and offer a helping hand to all as it is my ultimate passion to serve anyone under my care.
