MISSION TRIP TO CAMBODIA

Back in polytechnic, I was offered an opportunity to go for a mission trip with my church. It provided me with opportunities and personal growth which made me contribute to the well-being of the villagers. As some of them were seen not having proper shelter, food or even clothes, my team eventually provided some basic necessities to them. These include cooking for them or even building a temporary shelter for the children to study.
It breaks my heart that despite the children looking like they are happy with their daily lives but in reality it is probably because they love companionship. Through this mission trip, it made me want to take up nursing in the paediatrics sector as I wanted to specially care for children. Hence, upon picking up skills from nursing school and coming out as a staff nurse in KK Hospital, it has been my joy to treat my patients to the best ability based on whatever healthcare needs they require and I'll make sure they are in the closest ways of being back to the pink of health. If I had the opportunity to serve in many other ways, I will definitely volunteer to go for it as I feel happy and contented upon knowing someone is happy. Previously, I was not able to provide any healthcare treatment to the villagers, but giving the expertise I have now, I will try my utmost best to give them medical treatment in the means I have.
